Spiritual and cultural centre Kloster Kamp
Kamp-LintfortIn the charming scenery of Kamper Berg the spiritual and cultural centre of Kloster Kamp is situated. The monastery was founded in 1123 as first Cistercian monastery in German-speaking country and is the origin of district Kamp. The spacious area with abbey church, museum, shop and herb garden invites you to explore and stay. A highlight is the baroque terrace garden. A café for charitable donation at the monastery and further cafés and restaurants in the surrounding are available for your recreation.
The delightful ambience of the monastery serves as scenery for several cultural events. Open-air-events at top-level such as classical music concert Kamper Nacht and Kamper theatre-festival take place alternately every year.
