Kevelaer in the Lower Rhine region is well known as the largest Holy Mary pilgrimage site in north-western Europe. Every year, nearly a million visitors visit this small town with its 29,000 inhabitants. For generations, Kevelaer has also been famous for its varied arts and crafts, which are just as memorable for visitors as the around 200 listed buildings in the town centre.
